I've never been one for New Year's Resolutions. For some reason, they have just never appealed to me. And yet, I have found myself in sort of a creative rut lately. It might just be that a head cold has had its way with me, or that I'm still recovering from the craziness of the holiday season but, either way, I'm ready to get out of it!
Keeping an journal has always appealed to me, but the task of having to remember to write in the midst of a busy life always has always stopped me from really committing to this. Then I saw this method of daily journaling where you just write one or two lines for each day.
I can so do this!!
So now I know what I want to do to jumpstart my creativity but how am I going to do this?
Tammy at Daisy Yellow wrote a series of posts called Discovering Your Creativity a few months ago and had this to say,
"When we perceive our supplies to be plentiful, we are more open to trying new things and taking artistic risks."
It took me about two seconds to think of what I had a plentiful amount of: colored pencils!!
This is seriously like 1/10th of my current supply. I'm now into my 3rd day of keeping this resolution with many, many more pages to fill up.
I'll keep you posted on my progress!!
