A step further

A few weeks ago, I posted this design from my sketchbook.

 It seemed to have so much potential that I decided to make a stamp out of it.

It is always nice to feel like you have accomplished something "real" with your sketches!!

I've always said that once I became a mother that I would start to sew for my kiddos. Now that my firstborn is over a year old (and won't need a new wardrobe every three months!), I've started to work on that resolution. 

  

Hope to continue to blog more "in process" posts and not just things I've completed as I start to take on new creative endeavors!

Keeping it simple...in my sketchbook

I'm still loving the simplicity of my sketches from last week so I decided to keep things color-less again.

Creativity Queue Challenge... in my sketchbook

Well, Tammy over at Daisy Yellow has done it again! She has set forth a creative challenge that has the right side of my brain spinning. 

My house finally got listed on the market last week, and now I have to keep my house picture-perfect. Add to that, that I haven't been able to work on any big paintings because I've been so busy getting home improvement jobs done. This has left me craving a creative project.

Wanting to do something "big" but really only being able to work in my sketchbook had left me in sort of a funk. Then, Tammy said just start something! So I did. :-)

This first sketch was originally a "mistake", but I liked the look of the loops forming out of one another so I decided to draw them again...
